The Untold Tales : Love and Other demons by Paras

In the modern world that is so fast paced, and based on shortcuts it is a well known fact that if u make an 8 hour long movie, nobody would watch take the same story and make into episodes of one hour each and the viewer would watch it straight through, the same philosophy works out to be true in the world of books too especially when we talk about readers who have just started out on their journey to read, books that are, stories that are addictive is the perfect blend always.

Love and Other Demons, the untold tales By Paras, is one such wonderful lazy Sunday read, that is going to keep the readers hooked on from the first page to the last, the book is a collection of 13 stories, beautifully penned emotions, from the viewpoint of every character, lets you travel through the world and words, and the different perspectives of each , gliding flawlessly, as the name suggests love and other demons refers to not the straightforwardness of a love story, but deals with the manifold layers of the emotion of love, and the different ways it exists around us, sometimes in a positive way, at other times a negative one, the stories are characterised with people from every walk of life, the reader would have zero complications imagining because we all at some point or the other have known such characters or seen them in real life, which makes it easier to connect to them. As a reader I can say that the topics dealt with in the form of short stories are rather bold yet not for once would you able to take your eyes off the story, or not think of the topics, there is a story of the changing relationship dynamics of a mother and a son, there is a story about the world of enunchs, there is a story that deals with domestic violence and its various aspects, and make the reader surely spend time thinking about them way after the stories end. The book does not preach it rather presents you with a variety of different thoughts, thoughts that provoke u to look at society in a different light, and evolve as a human.

I give the book 5 on 5 for its excellent writing in dealing with topics. I highly recommend everyone on a lookout of a great short compilation , this book you will surely love it.
